Down Payment Assistance

The Down Payment Assistance program provides financial assistance toward the down payment on a home purchase for first time buyers. The home must be within the tribe's specific service area. The applicant must be at, or below, 80% of the area median income, and they must complete the First Time Home Buyer's 'Pathway's course.

Down Payment Assistance for Wilton Rancheria Members

Provides $10,000 down payment financial assistance for Wilton Rancheria Members who are purchasing their first home. This program is funded by Wilton Rancheria and does not have any income or service area restrictions. Members must complete the First Time Home Buyers 'Pathways' workshop to be eligible for this assistance. This program is only available to Wilton Rancheria members.

First Time Homebuyers Program

Home Rehab

Homeowners may be eligible for home rehab services to improve the health and/or safety of their home.

Housing & Disability Advocacy Program (HDAP)

HDAP helps people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness who are likely eligible for disability benefits by providing advocacy for disability benefits as well as housing supports. Click here for information about the HDAP program.

Mortgage Assistance

Assistance for consortium members who are home owners and have a monthly mortgage payment. A one time payment of $3000 or 6 monthly payments of $500, paid to the mortgage company. Must be an enrolled member of an NCIHA Consortium tribe, with income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. 

Move-In Deposit Assistance

Move-In Deposit Assistance helps members of the participating tribes to cover the move-in costs for renting in the private market.

Rental Assistance

A subsidy payment to help assist those renting in the private market. The subsidy is based on the rent of the home and your income.

A set $400 monthly subsidy. 

Rental Assistance for Elders

Tenant based rental subsidy for Elders funded by each Tribe's NAHASDA grant for rentals in the private market (off-reservation/rancheria). For Elders who are are age 60 and up who are members of an NCIHA Consortium tribe which income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Rental Assistance for Students

Tenant based rental subsidy for students funded by each Tribe's NAHASDA grant for rental housing in the private market (off-reservation/rancheria). This includes campus housing and dorms, as well as private rentals. Must be a full time college student from an NCIHA Consortium Tribe enrolled full time (12 units or equivalent). No area restrictions apply for students. Must recertify once per year to maintain eligibility.

Set $400 per month subsidy.

Social Services

Social services are a collection of wrap-around services to assist Consortium member with a variety of different needs and match them with resources. A member of NCIHA's ESS (Empowerment & Supportive Services) department will meet with you to discuss your needs and identify available resources.

Tribal Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (Tribal HHAP)

Tribal HHAP provides flexible funding to California Federally Recognized Tribes for a variety of unique, culturally responsive interventions to prevent and address homelessness in their communities.
