HDAP helps people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness who are likely eligible for disability benefits by providing advocacy for disability benefits as well as housing supports. Click here for information about the HDAP program.

Assistance for consortium members who are home owners and have a monthly mortgage payment. A one time payment of $3000 or 6 monthly payments of $500, paid to the mortgage company. Must be an enrolled member of an NCIHA Consortium tribe, with income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.Â

Rent Plus Credit Building for Renters
Rent Plus is a program which allows your monthly on-time rent payments to be reported to credit bureaus to help raise credit scores. This is a great resource for people who would like to eventually purchase their own home. Click here to sign up to have your on-time rent payments reported to your credit history.
Tenant based rental subsidy for Elders funded by each Tribe's NAHASDA grant for rentals in the private market (off-reservation/rancheria). For Elders who are are age 60 and up who are members of an NCIHA Consortium tribe which income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Tenant based rental subsidy for students funded by each Tribe's NAHASDA grant for rental housing in the private market (off-reservation/rancheria). This includes campus housing and dorms, as well as private rentals. Must be a full time college student from an NCIHA Consortium Tribe enrolled full time (12 units or equivalent). No area restrictions apply for students. Must recertify once per year to maintain eligibility.
Social services are a collection of wrap-around services to assist Consortium member with a variety of different needs and match them with resources. A member of NCIHA's ESS (Empowerment & Supportive Services) department will meet with you to discuss your needs and identify available resources.

A one-time payment of up to $500 per fiscal year to assist with utility arrears.Â
Utilities include:
- Electrical service
- Gas service (including propane and heating fuel)
- Water
- Sewer
- Trash
Assistance is not available to phone bills, internet or cable, or other non-essential services.Â
